The DNS service has determined that an existing resource record conflicts with the configured CNAME record. The CNAME record is a duplicate of another resource record such as an A or MX record.
Delete the CNAME record: 1. In Windows 2000 Explorer, go to the Systemroot\System32\Dns directory. 2. Double-click the specified file, and select Notepad to open it. 3. Delete the CNAME record from the specified line. 4. Save and close the database file. 5. Stop and restart the DNS server service.
