Zone names are invalid if they are greater than 32 characters. The zone name was incorrectly changed by directly accessing the Registry instead of using the Network option in Control Panel.
Use the Network option in Control Panel to specify a correct zone name for the adapter. Then, restart the computer for the changes to take effect.
