Windows Media Load Simulator can be run from the command line, using pre-existing test configuration settings that are saved in a Windows Media Load Simulator projects file (a .bts file). For more information, see Saving your load-test configuration.
To run the load simulator from the command line, open MS-DOS Prompt and then choose the directory where Windows Media Load Simulator is installed. The following command-line functionality is provided with Windows Media Load Simulator.
At the Command Prompt, type: | Result |
WMLoad | Windows Media Load Simulator opens. |
WMLoad file.bts /g | Windows Media Load Simulator opens and then runs a load test using test parameter configuration settings you saved in file.bts (where file is the filename of the load simulator projects file). |
WMLoad file.bts /g /s | Windows Media Load Simulator opens, runs the load test saved in file.bts, and then closes after the test is completed. If the test duration is set to run indefinitely and not to stop after a number of errors, Windows Media Load Simulator will not exit. |
