warning.gif (901 bytes) If you do not see the Symbol Explorer, then click the Symbol Explorer button on the Main toolbar.

  1. In the Symbol Explorer, click the Annotations-Clipart folder.

  2. Drag and drop the Arrow 30.sym symbol into the document approximately five grid spaces from the left border and approximately eight grid spaces down from the top border.

note.gif (935 bytes)The Arrow 30.sym symbol is a parametric symbol which means that it contains geometry constrained together using relationships, with driving dimensions that are defined as adjustable parameters.

  1. With the Arrow symbol still selected, place the cursor over the top left drag handle Drag Handle and drag the cursor up and to the right until the arrow is about two grid spaces high.

  2. Place the cursor over the right center drag handle and drag to the right until the arrow symbol expands to five grid spaces.

  3. In the Attribute viewer, select the Right attribute and change it's value to .500 inch.
  4. On the Main toolbar, click the Zoom In button. Zoom In Buttom

  5. Click one time on the center of the Arrow symbol.

  6. Right click to reset the command.
