  1. On the Draw toolbar, click the Line button.

  1. In the bottom center of your document, click to place the first point of the line.
  1. On the Line ribbon bar, enter 2 ' in the Length box and press ENTER.
  1. Move the mouse cursor horizontally to the left of the first point.
  1. When the horizontal relationship indicator appears next to the mouse cursor, click to place the line. 

NoteRelationship indicators are displayed by a tool called SmartSketch. A relationship indicator shows where the mouse cursor is in relationship to elements in the document. For example, when you see the horizontal relationship indicator next to the mouse cursor, this means that the line you are drawing is horizontal to another element in the document. Sometimes you can see two relationship indicators next to the mouse cursor at once.

  1. Draw a vertical line 2 ' long.
  1. Draw two more lines to complete the box.
