Xylan Switches; Bay, Nortel Passport, Cisco AGS+ (IOS 9.x) Routers

Problem Description: Resource exhaustion on the device causes a disruption of service. Xylan switches may manifest this disruption by dropping the port receiving the packets from Internet Scanner.

Problem Resolution: These devices do not quickly process packets addressed to the router or switch. Remove these devices from the normal network scan, and scan them separately with a light scan of only router or switch checks (do not port scan). Note: These devices allow scanning of systems behind them (you can successfully scan through the device).
