Controls how the host pinger probes each target host.
Internet Scanner probes each target host to verify that it is alive (on the network) before performing any security checks. Internet Scanner sends a collection of ICMP echo packets (pings) to each host, and then listens for a response. If a response (ping reply) is received within a specified amount of time, then the target host is marked as active.
Pings per scan: Specifies the number of pings sent to each target host during a probe. The default value is five pings per scan.
Intervals between pings (in milliseconds): Specifies the amount of time (in milliseconds) between sending each ping to a target host. The default is 500 milliseconds.
