PPTP

The Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol encapsulates other protocols for transmission over an IP network. For example, it can be used to send NetWare IPX/SPX packets over the Internet. Its RSA encryption makes it useful for creating a virtual private network (VPN) within the public Internet. Remote users can access their corporate networks from any ISP that supports PPTP on its servers.
