Check or Attack Name: showfhd

The showfhd service was detected as running. Showfhd is a daemon that provides the full path name for the given file handle. If the daemon cannot find the file or the inode number, it returns an error message.

Disable the showfhd service if it is not needed.

To disable the service, follow these steps:

1. Edit the /etc/inetd.conf (or equivalent) file.
2. Locate the line that controls the daemon.
3. Type a # at the beginning of the line to comment out the daemon.
4. Restart inetd.
