Description:

The web browser does not display a warning before accepting a cookie from the remote site. A remote site may store information concerning a user's identity and preferences on the local file system, usually in a non-secure manner.

Remedy:

In Netscape Navigator 3.x, from Network Preferences, go to the Protocol section and enable Accepting a Cookie.

To set protocol preferences in Netscape Navigator 3.x:

  1. Open Netscape Navigator 3.x.
  2. From the Options menu, select Network Preferences.
  3. Click Protocol.
  4. Locate the protocol option and set it to the recommended value.
  5. Click OK.
