Introduction

Tank Pilot is a 3D vector based action game for the Palm range of PDAs. It is similiar to the old arcade classic called "Battlezone" where the object of the game is to destroy all of the enemy tanks whilst avoiding missiles, mines and other obstacles around the battle field.

You start off with 3 extra lives, the game ends after you have used up all of these lives.

Your tank now has the new improved Selig II EMF Seeking missiles, these are desinged to home in on the beacon signals given off by the enemy tanks as they broadcast data to the central computer.

As well as a powerfull missile lanucher, your tank is also equipped with 3 `Exonite Smart Bombs` that will destroy nearly everything within a certain radius of your tank. Although powerful, these bombs are limited in number due to their weight, so please use them only in emergencies.

Installation

NOTE: The Tank Pilot .prc file name has changed to TankPilot.prc, if you are re-installing Tank Pilot and wish to keep your current level and score status, please make sure you delete the old Tank.prc after re-installing.

To install Tank Pilot simply click on the TankPilot.prc file, when you next do a HotSync it will automatically be installed. When you enter the game you will presented with the title demo showing some of the objects from the game.

The Crosshair is located in the center of the screen, this will notify you when you have direct line of sight to any enemy tanks by changing shape. The Selig II missile launcher will automatically program your missile with the unique beacon signature given off by the enemy tank under the crosshair. Once you have launched themissile the Crosshair will change to notify you that you have a missile in the air, please note that your tank's onboard Selig missile guidance system can only track one missile at a time, therefore you are limited to one projectile at a time. Most other tanks on the battlefield are equiped with similiar systems, use this to your advantage.

Please also note that some enemy Tank pilots are clever enough to jam the Selig missile by reprogramming their beacons to a different signature, sometimes even copying yours.

Options

There are various options that can be selected at any time by pressing the Menu button on the silkscreen.
