Introduction

BDicty is a generic dictionary program for PalmPilot^«. It has two components: the BDity program and the databases for each language, called language lexicons. BDicty supports unlimited number of languages at a time.
The program is fairly simple and intuitive to use: just install it along with the language lexicons you want and forget about the paper dictionaries!

BDicty comes with two versions: Public and Commercial.
The Public version is free and available for download form our web site. It has the most basic functionality a dictionary needs - the ability to lookup words. In its "About" menu it shows you it is Demo, even if you have a full version of a lexicon.
The Commercial (full) version of BDicty gives you several advantages over the Public one, among which ability to add your own words, different screen views/modes, support for phrasebooks and many more. For the full list and the latest version (which also comes free for the Commercial users) please check on our web site. Registration fee is $10.

One more thing to mention about BDicty is that it can run demo and licensed (full) lexicons. Demo lexicons can be used by anyone while the licensed are encrypted and licensed only to a specific user (by the HotsyncID).
There are also free lexicons available. 

Installation
BDicty Dictionary has 2 components:
1. BDicty - a shell program for dictionary.
2. Language databases - lexicons for BDicty.

To install a dictionary into your Palm you will need to HotSync at least 2 files: BDicty.prc & Any_Lexicon.pdb.

If you downloaded BDicty.zip (or lexicon.zip) file you have to:
1. Extract it and find files BDicty.prc and Any_Language.pdb.
2. HotSynk the two files.

If you downloaded BDicty.exe file, just start it and fallow the steps it will ask you to.

Installing upgrades:
Install the new BDicty version into your PalmPilot^«.
Note: There is no need to delete previous version, it will be replaced automatically.

Registered users get further program versions free (only for BDicty).

When buying a dictionary module, you will have to provide your HotSyncID.

Note: The lexicons for the program are distributed separately and could have different prices or even be free.
