Welcome to the ChoiceWay Guide to Paris! Demo Version for Palm OS(r) We hope you will enjoy this unique experience in travel guides. We provide a wealth of information and easy to read maps for your next trip. This demo version is a fully functional version of the full guide. The main difference between the demo and the full version is that demo has only four of the 34 interactive maps and associated data from the full version. The demo includes an outline of all the general topics from the full guide and a complete list of all the places in the full guide. The 200 plus screens of text and all the detailed destination info are not in the demo. The demo has a functional subset of the traveler's dictionary with about 100 words, but the full guide has over 700 words in the dictionary. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR Windows(r) PC USERS. 1. Troubleshooting: Memory requirements for ChoiceWay Guides for the Palm OS: The ChoiceWay Guides for Palm OS devices are the most complete and comprehensive travel guides for the Palm. Consequently the guides use a significant amount of memory. If you are not sure how much free memory you have, you should check before installing a ChoiceWay guide or a demo version (see below). Memory Requirements in bytes: Product Guide Only Run Time Files Total Paris Guide Full Version 940K 86K 1026K Paris Guide Demo Version 255K 86K 341K London Guide Full Version 772K 86K 858K London Guide Demo Version 232K 86K 318K If you install just one guide you need the amount of memory shown in the total column. If you install multiple guides, the run time files are only used once. Thus to load both the Paris guide and the London Guide Demo you will need only 1798K Bytes. Checking the free memory on a Palm OS Device is quite simple. 1. Tap the "Applications" icon on the device. 2. Tap the "Menu" icon. You should see a drop down menu. 3. Select the "Info" option. You will then see a screen with the amount of free memory. Here are detailed instructions for removing applications from a Palm device. 1. Tap the applications icon (a "house" on recent devices) near the lower left of the Palm screen. 2. Tap the menu icon at the lower left corner of the Palm screen. This will display a drop down menu. 3. Below the "App" at the top of the screen, you should see a list of options. If the list is not open tap on "App" to bring up the list. The list should contain Delete, Beam, Category, and Info. There may be other items in the list on some devices. 4. Select (tap) "Delete" in the menu list. This will bring up a list of applications on the Palm which can be deleted. 5. Scroll throgh the list until you find the program you wish to delete for example"PARIS CWDEMO". 6.
