4T PERSONAL is a FREE, full-featured personal information storage application that is used to store the information needed when purchasing an automobile, house, or credit application. 4T PERSONAL utilizes a 448bit encryption scheme (BLOWFISH) for secure data and is password protected. You can store information pertaining to bank accounts, credit cards, email, phone cards, credit references, and much more. Pull-down menus are utilized throughout to make data entry simple. Other features include user-customizable categories, a quick lock icon, and login screen password protection.
- None at this time ;-).
*** New for 4T PERSONAL 1.4 ***
Now runs under Palm OS 2.0
Fixed security bug
Added a 'Cancel' button, lets you cancel operation without saving changes
Fixed an import bug
Fixed password bug
Install the included Fpersonl.prc file by using the install application that is included with your Palm OS Desktop software.
Currently 4T Personal backs its database (fper.pdb) into the default Palm backup directory. Another very good way is the NEW Export/Import to/from Memopad.
If you do encounter a crash/re-set while using 4T PERSONAL please
do the following:
1. Delete 4T PERSONAL from your Palm PDA
2. Re-install 4T PERSONAL
3. Log into 4T PERSONAL with a OLD password
4. Exit 4T PERSONAL
4. THEN, install the fper.pdb data file
(of course, any donations greatly appreciated)
The Main Form View is the 'home base' view of 4T PERSONAL. The look and feel is very similar to the address list view of the Address application on the Palm Pilot. The accounts are listed in alphabetical order by the description field of the account.
To create new accounts press the 'New' button from the Main Form View. The Record Details View screen will appear where you can start inputting your information, you can change the label names by tapping on the drop down list of each label and selecting a new label. Enter the information in each field by tapping on the field to place the cursor and use the Graffiti input or Palm Pilot soft keyboard input to enter the account information. Use the drop down list box in the top right corner of the form to select a category for the record that you are currently editing. Edit the list of categories by selecting 'Edit Categories...' from the category drop down list. Tap on the 'Private' check box to identify the account as private. This will allow you to utilize the built-in Palm Pilot security feature and hide the record until the Palm Pilot security password has been entered. Once finished, tap the 'Done' button and the Main Form View will appear.
To view/edit an account, select the account from the Main Form View by tapping on the name of the account. The Record Details View screen will appear with the account information. View or edit the information as needed and then tap the 'Done' button when finished viewing the account and the Main Form View will reappear.
To delete the account record, tap on the record, from the Main Form View, to bring up the Record Details View, then tap the delete "Trash Can" icon. A dialog box will prompt you to ensure that you don't accidentally delete the wrong account.
Exports data, in current category, to the memopad creating a new memo named "4TPersonal Export".
The structure for this exported memo is:
NOTE: The Date: field is not used, but may show up in the export.
NOTE: You can use one field or all fields. Only input the field and data
that you need. Fields and lists
without data will be ignored.

Importing from the memopad is exactly the same as the export except for one thing, change the word Export to Import. The fields and the structure is exactly the same. As a matter of fact, the BEST way to insure no type-o's is to first export to memopad, then edit the data and import back into 4T Personal.
The minimum requirements are; 1.) new memo named "4TPersonal" 2.) First line of memo named "4TPersonal" 3.) ANY one of the fields below.
