The full product feature set is available for your use. After 30 days the conduit will no longer synchronize the outlines until a product registration code is entered. Please email your questions, comments, and bug reports to support@natara.com ============================================================ 2.0 Quick Start Steps ============================================================ The following steps will get you up and running with Natara Bonsai. 1) Open the downloaded Zip file and extract all the files into a temporary directory. Run the setup program from that location. Or, if you have downloaded the self-extracting Zip file, run that executable and follow the instructions. 2) Run the Natara Bonsai program from the Start menu. The default is location on the start menu is: Start->Programs->Natara Software->Bonsai 3) Create an outline and save under the name of your choice. 4) During the save you are asked if you want to synchronize this outline. Respond yes to the prompt. 5) Perform a HotSync. The Natara Bonsai application is now installed on your handheld. 6) Perform a second HotSync. Your outline is now installed on your handheld and is ready for use. (NOTE: The second HotSync is only necessary after you first install Natara Bonsai. After that, your outline database and file will by updated with each normal HotSync.) ============================================================ 3.0 Uninstalling ============================================================ Use the Add-Remove Programs control panel document to uninstall Natara Bonsai from your desktop. On your Palm device, use the Delete menu item under the App menu to remove Bonsai and all outlines. ============================================================ 4.0 Product Limitations ============================================================ 1) When synchronizing more than one outline file with your palmtop device, the file names must be unique within the first 28 characters. 2) Synchronizing the same outline to multiple Windows machines is not supported. 3) The text for each item in the outline is limited to 140 characters, and the note with each item to 32K. 4) Indentation is limited to 10 levels. Given the limited screen space, 10 is past what is usable. 5) There is a limit of 15 categories within each outline. 6) Number of outlines and size are limited by available Palm device memory. ============================================================ 5.0 Changes in this Release ============================================================ Version 1.0.5 Palm Application: (New) Rename outline command. (New) Items can be linked to a To Do in the built-in To Do database. (New) Beam an outline (New) Ability to mark an outline to not synchronize. (New) Command and shortcut to toggle the completion status. (New) On the details dialog, the hard scroll buttons change the percent complete. (Fixed) When a branch was cut from the outline, there were conditions where the branch would be restored during synchronization, instead of being deleted from desktop. (Fixed) Filter by category would cause an incorrect priority filter to be enabled. (Fixed) Problem on Visor Prism where popup menus were corrupted. Windows Application: (New) Export options now also apply to text format. (New) Command and shortcut to toggle the completion status. (New) Directory dialog added for selecting the default outline location. Dialog checks validity of directory name. (New) The category is now exported. (Fixed) Dates were not always localized properly in exports. (Fixed) Would crash if the saved currently caret position was made invalid by synchronization. (Fixed) Context menu would not always set the current item type correctly. Conduit: (New) Conduit skips sync if neither handheld or desktop outlines have changed. (Fixed) Checks for invalid characters in outline name. (Fixed) Checks that the default directory for new outlines is still valid. Import Application: (Fixed) Outline names that contained characters that are not valid in Bonsai names were not translated.
