Handy Quote (HQ) is an order estimating / pricing application for
Palm OS devices, including Palm Pilots, IIIs, Vs and VIIs, and
Handspring Visors.  Write up quotes for your customers on the trade
show floor, in the hotel lobby, on the phone or face-to-face.  You
can give them an instant price quote for any order, no matter how
complex.

HQ stores hundreds of products and their prices (including
multi-level price breaks for quantity orders!)  Every quote you
write can be saved as a memo in the Memo Pad, or exported as a .csv
file to any spreadsheet or database application on your PC.  You can
write as many quotes as your PDA has room to store, and store
multiple catalogs for different vendors or product lines.

New In This Version

Now, edit catalogs on the Palm!  Add, change or delete items and
prices without re-importing.

NO LIMIT to catalog size - have as many items in a catalog as your
Palm can hold!

Catalog items can be members of multiple departments.

Catalog files are now owned by HQ - will not interfere with other
CASL programs.

Runtime file is not required for uploading catalogs with conduit.

A Notes field has been added for recording other info about a quote.


The trial version of HQ allows a maximum of three line items in a
quote.  Saved quotes will only contain sample data and a reminder to
register.  Unlimited catalog size is only available with the
registered version.  The trial version will read the first 200 items
from any HQ catalog.  All other capabilities are complete and fully
functional, so you can see how HQ will work with your catalog.  If
you find HQ meets your needs, you are encouraged to register to get
the full version, capable of storing up to 99 line items per quote.

Trial Version Installation

Use your desktop installer to install the handyquote.prc file,
and the sample database files, hqsample.pdb and hqsampleml.pdb
to try out Handy Quote.

NOTE to users of previous versions: The CASL run-time support files
CASLrt_pro.prc and CASL_Palm_Utils_pro.prc are no longer needed to
run HQ.  If you not running any other CASL-based programs, these
files may be removed from your PDA.

The trial version is available in two different packages.  A small
package that contains only the PDA program and a sample catalog makes
it easy to try out HQ with a minimum of download time.

conduit, and complete documentation, are contained in the complete 
trial package available at http://computassist.hypermart.net/hq/.
