Welcome to Ace the Game! Oh no! Not another one of those mindless solitaire games, you're probably saying. Nothing can be further from the truth. Go ahead and play the game and you will know it takes more than luck to ace the game.
The game was developed with the gaming industry in mind. As a testing ground, Ace the Game is offered as FREEWARE. Feel free to copy it, play it, give it to your friends, but please mail us. The game's objective is really quite simple. Play all the 13 cards in the deck by matching or sequencing the cards using the rummy-rule: play a 2 on another 2, or a 4 on a 3 if they are the same suit.
The deck is comprised of 13 cards: a 2, a 3, and a 4 in four suits. That's 12 cards; the 13th. card is an Ace of Spades. It's the Ace of Spades which wins the game when it's played last onto the 2 of Spades i.e. when all 13 cards have been sequenced ending with the Ace of Spades. (Refer to the on-line help for further information).
If your score is worthy of being entered among the high scores, you will be asked to enter your name into Ace's Hall of Fame. To reset the high scores table just delete the "ace.vap" file. Back to CONTENTS

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:

- Run the self-extracting zip file.
- Create a shortcut on the desktop.
- At the command line, type c:\acethegame\ace1.exe
- Type AcetheGame for name of shortcut.
- When you're ready to play, just double-click the AcetheGame icon.
- To uninstall Ace the Game, simply delete the acethegame folder and the shortcut icon.
Ace the Game is distributed as a FREEWARE program.
You are hereby granted permission to freely distribute and use this program for personal use and entertainment. You may upload this program to electronic bulletin boards or the Internet. You may not alter, delete or add any files in the distribution archive. You are specifically prohibited from selling or requesting any compensation for the distribution or use of Ace the Game.
