Ascom Carry is a desktop computer telephony integration (CTI) application that resides on a Psion 3a/3c to give you an electronic telephone directory that interfaces with a Meridian 1 telephone.
- It connects to a Meridian 1 digital telephone set via a Meridian Communications Adaptor
- An alphanumeric search can be performed to locate a telephone number/name in the system, which can then be dialled automatically by the Meridian digital telephone
- Incoming callers are identified by their Calling Line Identification* (CLI) and their details displayed on the Psion in the form of a screen pop. However, this only occurs if their information is stored in the database
- All calls are displayed in the hotlog application to show telephone number, time of call, duration of call, status i.e. answered, unanswered, busy, and direction i.e. incoming or outgoing
- The optional docking station ensures that cables are housed neatly and the Psion is locked securely in place
