Usage Analyst Upgrade Information

• Over twenty-five pre-configured summary, detailed, and comprehensive analysis reports that provide insights on navigational patterns, request and visit trends, and server load patterns so you can better target and serve your visitors.

• Increased reporting flexibility that enables greater depth and breadth of site activity information.

• Support for standard, commercial relational databases to archive your data so you can access it and analyze activity over any time span. A more scaleable version of Usage Analyst, utilizing Microsoft SQL Server version 6.5 or higher, is available for larger volume sites.

• The hierarchical configuration of a single log data source with any combination of content sites. Supports multiple sites logging to the same log file.

• Support for standard and extended log file formats from popular commercial and public domain servers including Microsoft, Netscape, Apache, and O'Reilly.

Usage Analyst, Enterprise Edition, 2.0 is a feature of Microsoft Site Server, Enterprise Edition, 2.0. An evaluation version of Microsoft Site Server, Enterprise Edition can be downloaded from http://www.microsoft.com/siteserver.

The Usage Analyst, Enterprise Edition feature of Microsoft Site Server, Enterprise Edition offers additional functionality not found in Microsoft Site Server Express - Usage Analyst including:

• The ability to create your own usage analysis reports taking advantage of multidimensional data reporting with any number of row dimensions, column dimensions, or measures per calculation.

• The ability to produce detailed reports for your advertisers including ad views, ad clicks, and ad yield per advertisement.

• Aggregation of data across multiple Internet servers and sites, including Web, ftp, and gopher servers.

• The ability to customize the database with any number of new variables, including content, time, user, and organization categories. The database can be prepared to integrate usage data with other data sources, or to classify it in your own terminology.

• Enables the hierarchical configuration of log data sources that have multiple servers with any combination of content sites.
