Renewing Encryption Keys

MSMQ supports encryption through the use of public and private keys. It is a good idea to periodically renew your encryption keys (perhaps once a year). You should also renew your encryption keys any time you suspected that they may be compromised.


To renew an encryption key

  1. In Control Panel, double-click MS Message Queue.
  2. On the Security tab, click Renew Encryption Key, and then click OK.
  3. Click Restart Windows Now.
