Restricting Operator Access

Operators of Microsoft NNTP Service must be granted operator privileges. By default, everyone in the Administrators group in Windows NT Server is granted operator privileges.

To add an operator:

1. In Internet Service Manager, select the Security Accounts property sheet.
   
2. Choose Add.
   
3. In the List Names From box, select the domain of the operator you want to add.
   
4. In the Names box, select the operator or group, and then choose Add. If you want to add only an individual member of a group, select the group and then choose Members. Then select the individual member, and choose Add.
   
5. Choose OK.

To remove an operator:

1. In Internet Service Manager, select the Security Accounts property sheet.
   
2. In the Operators box, select the operator.
   
3. Choose Remove and then OK.
