Add to Media Library By Searching Computer dialog box

Use the Add to Media Library By Searching Computer dialog box to search for digital media files to add to Media Library. You can limit the scope of your search and specify the size of the digital media files that are added to your library.

The following options are listed in the Add to Media Library By Searching Computer dialog box:

Search on

Lists the drives on which you can search for digital media files. To search computers on your network, you must first map or assign a drive letter to other computers.

Look in

Specifies a folder on an individual drive to search for digital media files.

Browse

Click to locate a folder.

New files only (fast)

Specifies that media information is updated only for new files added to Media Library.

New files and existing files in library without media information

Specifies that media information is updated for new files added to Media Library and for existing files without media information.

New files and all existing files in library (slow)

Specifies that media information is updated for new files added to Media Library and for all existing files in Media Library.

Show advanced search options

Specifies whether additional search options are displayed in this dialog box.

Add files previously deleted from Media Library

Specifies whether files you have deleted from Media Library are added to Media Library again when your computer or drive is searched for digital media files.

Add volume leveling values for all files

Specifies that volume leveling values are added to files in Media Library. Volume leveling enables the files to play back at a similar volume level.
