Desktop Memo 2

Abstract
--------
A simple utility that allows you to paste a Memo list onto the Windows
Desktop in the form of a note. The Memo replaces any Windows Wallpaper
that is displayed, but at the touch of a button, the original Wallpaper
can be recalled.

Desktop Memo has been developed and tested using Windows 95. It has
also been tested on Windows 3.11.

Version 2
---------
With this version, you can mark each item with a check-mark. You may
use this feature to mark as 'done' a list item.

The Desktop Memo is now fully configurable. You can enter you own memo
title, change the font of the title and check-mark as well as control
the window positioning of the Memo form.

Installation and Requirements
-----------------------------
If you can read this you either have unzipped the files or are viewing
the Readme.txt from a zip extraction utility. If the latter, unzip all
files into the directory of your choice. The program is not dependant
on any specific directory although it must not be unzipped to the root
directory of any drive.

Vbrun300.dll is required for the operation of the program. If you don't
have a copy, you can find one in the MS Basic forum on CompuServe
(GO MSBASIC). The Vbrun300.dll file normally lives in the System
sub directory of Windows.

Installation and version 2
--------------------------
Install the version 2 of the program into the same directory as the
version 1 (deskmemo.exe). The filename of version 2 (dskmemo2.exe) is
different so you will keep the version 1 intact. Don't forget to
update any shortcuts or program icons to reflect the new name.

This program is Shareware
-------------------------
This is not free software. You are hereby licensed to use this software
for evaluation purposes without charge for a period of 30 days. If you
use this software after the 30 day evaluation period, a registration fee
is required ($10) cheap!

Unregistered use of the Desktop Memo utility after the 30 day evaluation
period is in violation of U.S. and international copyright laws.

Registration
------------
This program may be registered through CompuServe by using SWREG
(GO SWREG). Use the ID: 6959 to register Desktop Memo. Follow the
instructions on screen thereafter.

To register the program without using CompuServe, email the author at
one of the addresses below and request Desktop Memo registration.

Upon registration, you will be sent a 'key' by email that you insert into
the space provided on the splash form. This key will disable the red
'Unregistered version' labels of the Memo. You will also be entitled to
support and cheaper upgrades.

Upon registration, you will be the owner of a single-user, single-
workstation license.

Registration and version 2
--------------------------
If you have already registered the Desktop Memo (version 1) then there
is no need to re-register. You get this update free! Your access code
will work with the new version.
