6.3-4 Total Read, Saved Read and Saved Ratio

Statistical information maintained by the Rapid Cache Manager creates a detailed profile about the CD or VCD activity for the current cache settings.

Total read: The total number of sectors requested from a CD drive or VirtualDrive.

Saved read: The number of sectors that are read from the cache buffer rather than from the CD or VCD. The greater the number of sectors read from the cache buffer, the greater the caching efficiency.

Saved (or Hit) Ratio: Saved Read divided by the Total Read. The higher the saved ratio, the better overall caching efficiency.

6.3-5 Resetting the Cache buffer

Clicking on Reset will flush the cache buffer and reset any statistical data collected. When experimenting with various settings to maximize CD or VCD performance, you should flush the cache buffer each time you change the settings to give a more precise evaluation of performance.
