Using effects from other products

In addition to the dozens of effects included with Premiere, many effects are available in the form of plug-ins, which you can purchase from third-party vendors or acquire from other compatible applications. For example, many Adobe Photoshop plug-ins can be copied into the Premiere Plug-ins folder to use in your video work.

An effect is available to Premiere when its plug-in software file is present in the Plug-ins folder, which is stored in the Adobe Premiere 6.0 folder by default. If you purchased additional plug-in effects, purchased Premiere as part of a hardware package, or removed effect files from the Plug-Ins folder, you may have a different set of effects than those described.
