Image Pan (obsolete) This effect is replaced by a new version. This effect simulates a camera panning across a clip. You can also use this effect to crop a clip. The bottom corners of the dialog box show the first and last frames to which the effect will be applied, with a preview of the results in the upper center. To pan a clip: 1 In the lower left corner, use any of the following techniques to specify the area of the clip where you want panning to begin: · Drag the four corner points to resize the viewing box in the lower left corner. Hold down the Shift key as you drag if you want to preserve the aspect ratio. · Specify coordinates for these points in the boxes above. · Move the entire viewing box by dragging inside it. 2 Select the End option. 3 In the lower right corner, use the same techniques as in step 1 to specify the area where you want panning to end. Note: Making the viewing box a different size from your final output video program will stretch or distort the clip to fit the new size. 4 Do any of the following: · To copy the dimensions and location of one viewing box to the other frame, click the appropriate Copy button. · To reverse the two viewing boxes, click the Exchange button. · To produce a more realistic pan, where the camera movement gradually starts and ends, select the Ease In and Ease Out options.
To crop the clip without panning: 1 Resize and move the viewing box in the lower left corner. 2 Deselect the End option. Applying Effects > Obsolete effects > Image Pan (obsolete) |
