Changing text orientation

By default, a line of text displays from left to right. You can specify vertical orientation so that a line of text displays from top to bottom. This is useful for creating titles in languages such as Japanese, or as a text effect.

Note: To rotate text freely, apply motion settings to the title after you add the title to the Timeline (see Rotating, zooming, delaying, and distorting), or prepare the title in another application such as Adobe After Effects.

To change the orientation of text:

With the selection tool (), click a text object. Choose Title > Orientation and select Horizontal or Vertical.
