Muting one channel of a stereo clip


Muting one channel of a stereo audio clip in the Timeline window can be useful if one channel contains unwanted noise or if the channels were recorded out of phase.

To mute one stereo channel in an audio clip:

1 Select an audio clip in the Timeline.

2 Do one of the following:
  • Choose Clip > Audio Options > Mute Left to mute the left channel.
  • Choose Clip > Audio Options > Mute Right to mute the right channel.
  • Choose Clip > Audio Options > Normal to restore the clip's stereo channels.
