Notes
You can also search for files to add to Media Library by clicking Options on the Tools menu, and then clicking SearchforMediaFiles.
If you share your computer with another person, the other person's digital media files may get added to your Media Library and vice versa when you add files by searching the computer. You may not be able to play the other person's files, depending on which operating system you are using, and the permissions set on the folder that contains the files.
The advanced search options that you that you specify in the AddToMediaLibraryBySearchingComputer dialog box apply to the contents of any folders that you add to Media Library and any folders that are being monitored for digital media content.
The monitoring folder feature is only available on select versions of Windows and on drives formatted with NTFS. For more information, see Special features.
