To adjust audio dynamic range (Quiet Mode)

1. On the View menu, point to Settings, and then select Quiet Mode.
2. In the Settings pane, click the Turn on link, if necessary.
3. Do one of the following:

   To	Do this
   Play the audio normally (the largest difference between loud and soft sounds)	Click the Turn off link.
   Play the audio by using a more limited dynamic range (a smaller difference between loud and soft sounds)	Click Medium difference.
   Play the audio by using the most limited dynamic range (the smallest difference between loud and soft sounds)	Click Little difference.

   
   

Notes

• Using the Quiet Mode feature, you can control the difference between the loudest and softest sounds when you play audio. You may want to reduce this difference (known as the audio dynamic range), for example, when watching movies at night or when listening to music with headphones. Turning on Quiet Mode keeps the sound level more uniform, thereby avoiding wide swings in volume.
