To adjust audio dynamic range (Quiet Mode)

  1. On the View menu, point to Settings, and then select Quiet Mode.
  2. In the Settings pane, click the Turn on link, if necessary.
  3. Do one of the following:
    To Do this
    Play the audio normally (the largest difference between loud and soft sounds) Click the Turn off link.
    Play the audio by using a more limited dynamic range (a smaller difference between loud and soft sounds) Click Medium difference.
    Play the audio by using the most limited dynamic range (the smallest difference between loud and soft sounds) Click Little difference.
