The Power
MP3 Tunes has a lot of power but you wanna know wot power that is so i explain everything to ya:
- Virtual keyboard Touchscreen users can use a QWERTY virtual keyboard if they wanna search for a song
- Fast quality decoding of MP3 and OGG files Check some players with something like an oscilloscope and see the responses :)
- Playback hardware based option Audio goes straight from player to the soundcard hardware channels so that the sound won't go thru DSP, VU meters and Windows itself to get very fast performance and low CPU usage.
- ASIO MP3 Tunes and some soundcards support ASIO (2.0) drivers and then a latency of 4 milliseconds can be reached to get the fastest response of your music machine because DirectSound only reaches 50 milliseconds
- Network support Store music in database and playback music that is on a local network to reduce the diskspace it needs on your computer.
- Network executable Install MP3 Tunes on the server and access it from any PC that is connected to it so you won't have to install it and all PC's use the same database.
- DSP plugins Winamp DSP plugins are supported and they respond within 4-50 milliseconds instead of the 1-2 seconds other players do.
- Security Computer based security, although you run MP3 Tunes from a server, security can be setup for each computer seperate.
- Accurate Pitch The accurate pitch can be setup to 4, 8, 16 and 32%
- Cue/loop Set a position in the track and the player can loop back to it (1 millisecond accuracy)
- Fade in/out Fade button that can be setup to fade 1-5 seconds
- Automatic mixing Can mix 2 audio files 0-15000 milliseconds (15 seconds)
- Automatic crossfade When automatic mixing it crossfades the set automix milliseconds
- Database A small fast database with sort and search/filter facilities that does 40.000 records in about 50 milliseconds on a Pentium 4
- Directory tree Advanced treeview of you computer and network to gain access to a folder on 1 of them. Also there's a playlist list so you have fast preview access to stored playlists.
- Audio streaming Stream music directly from MP3 Tunes or a mixer to a server using a SAM and/or Shoutcast plugin.
- Title streaming Stream the playing "Artist - Title" information to a website or shoutcast server so people know what your playing.
- Live365 control Control your Live365 stream account directly from MP3 Tunes
- Input playback You may playback a soundcard input device thru the DSP for special effects and then the output goes thru the left player with a latency of 150 milliseconds or less
- Skins MP3 Tunes is skinnable so you can give the players the design you like by resizing buttons and the bitmaps
- Touchscreens MP3 Tunes can handle touchsreens by resizing font and scrollbar size of playlist and database grids (visualisation)
- Tags Read & write ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags
- Count times played MP3 Tunes can count how much a song from database is played (don't use in a server setup)
- Multiple Jingle/Sample lists Setup and save multiple jingle/sample lists that can contain 10 each to use in your shows or let every DJ load their own list fast and accesible with shortcuts
- Multiple soundcards MP3 Tunes can handle up to 4 soundcards/outputs at the same time
- Realtime playback Instead of turning on a soundcard when a soundbuffer is gonna be played and turn it off when a buffer is played and then turn it on for the next x milliseconds buffer, the soundcard will always stay on to get the best audio performance (what other players don't do)
- Pre-listen player Pre-listen a song thru a seperate output so you can hear if you want to play it or not.
- Update checking MP3 Tunes automatically checks if there's an update when the program starts and the computer is connected to the internet.
