Deleting an object - A method of treating an object. To delete an object means to remove it physically from your computer. This method is recommended for objects that for whatever reason cannot be disinfected.Disk boot sector - An area on your hard drive or on any removable media (for example, a floppy disk or a CD-ROM). There are boot viruses that infect disk boot sectors. Kaspersky Anti-Virus scans boot sectors for viruses and disinfects them if infection is detected.Disinfection - A method of treating infected objects. Disinfection results in partial or full removal of malicious code from the infected data, or a decision that these files cannot be disinfected. Objects are disinfected using records contained in the anti-virus database.
