Description
| Moves the center of rotation relative to the image. There is no fixed rotation axis with an image. The axis is independent of the image and is movable. For example, the rotation axis can be placed in the center of the image, on the edge, or off the picture. To move the center of rotation off the image, you might find it useful to zoom out and activate the wire-frame handles. For more information, see Effect Editor Controls. | ||
Use of Controls
| Axis button | ![]() | Click the Axis button on the right of the Effect Editor to adjust the center of rotation directly in the Effect Preview monitor. For more information, see Manipulating 3D Effects Directly. |
Enable button | ![]() | Click the Enable button to turn the Axis parameter category on or off. The button is pink when the parameter category is on and gray when it is off. Alt+click (Windows) or Command+click (Macintosh) the Enable button to reset the Axis parameter controls to their default values. | |
X | Moves the center of rotation along the X axis (right or left). Values range from –999 to +999, where 0 is the center of the X axis. | ||
Y | Moves the center of rotation along the Y axis (up or down). Values range from –999 to +999, where 0 is the center of the Y axis. | ||
Z | Moves the center of rotation along the Z axis. Values can range from –999 to +999, where 0 is the center of the Z axis. Positive values are closer and negative values are farther away. Adjusting the Z value moves the center of rotation off the plane of the video screen. |
