Creating a Color Background

To create a title that appears over an opaque color background:

Click the Video Background (V) button to switch off the video background if it is on.

Click and hold on the Background Color (Bg) window.

Use the Title Tool Color Picker, the eyedropper, the Windows Color dialog box, or the Macintosh Color Picker to select a color. For more information, see Selecting Colors and Setting Transparency. The default background color is black.

When you create a title with a color background, it is opaque and it cannot be used to key over video.

You cannot create rolling or crawling titles with a color background. You can create a separate color background as a title and then edit the rolling or crawling title over it in the sequence.
