Setting Up DV Scene Extraction Before Capturing
To set up DV Scene Extraction before capturing:

Click the Settings tab in the Project window.

The Settings scroll list appears.

Double-click Capture Settings.

The Capture Settings dialog box appears.

Click the DV Options tab.
|

Click DV Scene Extraction.
|

Select one of the following options:

Add Locators: Creates locator marks where the TOD information
breaks occur while capturing.

Create Subclips: Creates subclips where the TOD information
breaks occur while capturing.

|
Both: Creates subclips and locator marks where the TOD
information breaks occur while capturing.

In the Capture tool, click the Record button.
|
When capturing has finished, subclips are created with the same source
clip name and the extension .sub.01 where TOD information breaks
occurred. Locator marks appear in the master clip where TOD
information breaks occurred.
