Creating an XML File by Dragging an AAF File (Windows Only)
You can create an XML file by dragging an AAF file to the MetaSync Publisher icon. The icon is created on the desktop by the MetaSync Publisher installation program.
To create an XML file by dragging an AAF file:
1. | |
Locate and select the AAF file or files that you exported from the Avid
editing application.
|
2. | |
Drag the file or files to the MetaSync Publisher icon.
|
MetaSync Publisher extracts the necessary information and creates an
XML file in the folder that contains the source file. The file keeps the
same name as the AAF file but uses the file name extension .xml. You
can then transfer this file to another application for further processing.
MetaSync Publisher opens a message box that reports either an XML
file was created or an error has occurred. Click the View Log button to
view the log file, or click OK.

Using the drag-and-drop method to export a file, you can create an XML
file by dragging a sequence directly from an Avid editing application to the
MetaSync Publisher icon. For more information, see Using the Drag-and-
Drop Method for Export.
