Installing the Components
You install MetaSync Manager and MetaSync Publisher from the same installation program.

MetaSync Manager: Install on any computer running Windows 2000
or on any Macintosh running Mac OS X.

MetaSync Publisher: Install on any computer running Windows 2000
or Mac OS X, but it is most convenient if you install it on the same
system as the Avid editing application.
|
MetaSync features for Avid editing systems are installed as part of the Avid editing system installation.
To install MetaSync Manager and MetaSync Publisher:

Insert the Avid MetaSync CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.

If the installation program does not start automatically:
|
| a. | |
(Windows only) Double-click the My Computer icon.
|
| b. | |
Double-click the CD-ROM icon.
|
| c. | |
Double-click the Launch icon.
|
The Main Menu window of the installation program opens.

Click the Install Products button.
|
The Install Products window opens.
| 4. | |
Click the Install MetaSync Manager button.
|
| 5. | |
Follow the instructions on the screen.
|
| 6. | |
When you see a message that MetaSync Manager has been installed,
click Finish.

The Install Products window opens again.
| 7. | |
Click the Install MetaSync Publisher button.
|
| 8. | |
Follow the instructions on the screen.
|
| 9. | |
When you see a message that MetaSync Publisher has been installed,
click Finish.

The Install Products window opens again.
