Show e-mail client

If you prefer to use external applications for e-mail, newsgroups, newsfeeds, and chat, disabling this checkbox will disable Opera's e-mail client and remove the Mail and Chat panels.

Download directory

When you download a file, the file is put in the download directory if you open it without specifying a folder to save it in.

Source viewer

The source viewer is the program you want to launch when you press Ctrl + F3 on a page (View source).

Protocol manager

You can create your own list of programs to launch when executing particular protocols in Opera. The default list includes:

Protocol	Purpose
telnet	Communicate with other computers through a command-line interface
tn3270	For communication with IBM mainframes. See IETF RFC 1576 for specifications.
