| Read an eBook on a handheld device |

| Once youΓÇÖve activated an eBooks account for your primary computer, you can also activate other devices for reading eBooks, such as a handheld device. |
| Note: To read Adobe eBooks on a handheld device, download and install Adobe Reader for handheld devices from the Adobe Web site. |
| 1. | Connect to the Internet. |
| 2. | Place the handheld device in its synchronization cradle, and turn it on. |
| 3. | Choose Tools > eBook Web Services > Adobe DRM Activator. |
| 4. | Log into the Adobe DRM Activator Web site. You need your Microsoft Passport ID and password. If you are a new user, follow the on-screen prompts to create an ID and password. |
| 5. | When you are logged into the Adobe DRM Activator Web site, follow the prompts to activate the device. |
| 6. | In the My Bookshelf dialog box, select the eBook that you want to send to your handheld device, and then click the Send to Mobile Device button. |
| 7. | Open the eBook on the handheld device. |
