URL alias

Some hot websites URL are difficult to remember. How can we make a quick access to these hot websites without having to input rather complicated URL? To solve the problem, you may add it to your bookmark folder. Another alternative is to use URL alias.

The name says it all.
MYIE2's URL Alias feature is used to set an "alias" for a certain website. When you type the URL's alias in the address bar, MYIE2 will navigate to the real but rather complicated URL.

Set up a URL Alias

Please set up a URL Alias within the Setup Center. Following the picture below, you will set up a URL's alias by entering any visible combination of characters except ':' or '.' . For example, you could assign http://www.microsoft.com to the URL Alias m. Then when you type 'm' in the address bar, MYIE2 will take you to http://www.microsoft.com.

Note: When both the 'URL Alias' & 'Quick Search' features are enabled , the 'URL Alias' feature will take priority. This means, if you have the same name for a 'URL Alias' and 'Quick search' entry, MYIE2 will regard it as an alias name instead of a keyword to be searched. If you prefer a quick search, it is advisable not to use the same name.
