Registration for NON-profit organizations

xChaos software has already tried many ways to make Arachne easily available for schools, hospitals and generally non-profit organizations. We believe, that importance of Internet can be compared to importance of Gutenberg's invention of book printing, and that Internet should be accessible by everyone. Especially schools and hospitals in not-so-rich parts of the world can't afford to upgrade their PCs every year, so they may appreciate that World Wide Web will be now accessible from their Local Area Networks.

Arachne can be legaly used for non commercial use as it is distributed - with no registration key. If you want registration key, you have to buy it - because generation of keys for non-profit organisations can't be done automaticaly, and we have to spend our time and workforce reading sales mailbox, paying telecommunication bills, etc.

The price of Arachne non-commercial registration is:

30 USD for every 100 installations of Arachne

This is because transfering less then 30 USD is quite inefficient and only banks would profit from it. However, the cost of 30 US cents per single installation should be acceptable for almost any organization which can afford to own PC and pay telecomunication bills.

This doesn't mean, that non-profit organisation now MUST pay for Arachne - it only means, that we won't send them free registration keys any longer.

How to pay a registration fee

Send an e-mail with the below mentioned required information to sales@arachne.cz:
- Your e-mail address.
- Your name or that of your company (or organization). This name will appear instead of "unregistered" and should not be longer than 12 characters.
- Your postal address or that of your company.
- Choose from the following your method of payment:
  - A: We accept money orders at the following postal address:

  - B: You can send a cheque to our postal address (This is a very slow method; it will take at least 40 days before you get your registration key.).
  - C: Some people have asked to send the registration fee to our postal address in a sealed envelope. You can pay this way, but take notice: This is at your own risk and we cannot take any responsibility for the possible loss of the money !! In this case, please use the address above.
