Babylon-Pro can be used in two modes: online and offline.
When Babylon-Pro is offline, it will try to access only local glossaries
when performing searches. When working online Babylon-Pro will try to
access both local and subscribed glossaries. To switch between online
and offline modes, click on the Babylon-Pro icon at the
top left corner of the Find Window. This icon also displays your connection
status, as follows:
Blue&Green icon - Online. You will get results from all installed glossaries (both downloaded and subscribed) as well as æMore ResultsÆ. Clicking on this icon will switch it to offline mode.
Red icon - Manual Offline. This icon will appear when the user manually clicked on the icon to change Babylon-Pro to offline mode. When the icon is red, Babylon-Pro will not try to provide online results even when connected to the internet. Clicking on this icon will switch it back to online mode.
Yellow icon - Failed communication. This icon will appear when Babylon-Pro detects automatically that there is no active connection to the internet. Every time a search is initiated, or the Babylon-Pro Window is opened, Babylon-Pro will check the connection status again, and will switch automatically back to online mode, when available.
Another reason for the icon to turn yellow is setting wrong configuration parameters in the æConnectionÆ tab of the Babylon-Pro configuration dialog.
Animated icon - Receiving. Babylon-Pro is now downloading results from subscribed glossaries or from æMore ResultsÆ.
