The company MACRO WEIL s. r. o. was founded in 1990 as a sales office of Macro Group Ltd an English distributor. This English company focuses mainly on the distribution of semi-conductor components and, therefore, its Czech office sells the same components as in England.

Because of the global changes in the distribution of electronic components changes have taken place in the ownership of the Macro Group. During the period of the existence of the holding company SEI - Macro and its subsequent transfer to the full ownership of AVNET EM, MACRO WEIL remained loyal to its new owners in spite of all issues related to this. During this transitory period the logistics, the location of stores and agreements with electronic component producers and also the assortment of components have changed.

During the first half of 2001 both the organisational structure of ANET EM and ownership relations of MACRO WEIL s. r. o. have been completed and the list of producers for which the distribution is carried out and their components have been stabilised.

MACRO WEIL s. r. o. is now the "Official partner of AVNET EM" with access to the wide range of products offered by the various members of the AVNET EM group in Europe. MACRO WEIL has been granted special subsidised prices and it has the possibility and ability, within the new coalition, of integrating supplies from the various stores of AVNET EM into one, which is extremely convenient for the customer. Also the assortment of electronic components has been greatly extended, at the moment we also distribute also passive components, electromechanical components and connectors including a very wide assortment of special components within our range of semi-conductor components.

Our activities have also been extended as a result of our direct distribution agreement with Consumer Microcircuits Limited, which focuses on the development and production of electronic circuits for telecommunications and radio-communications.
