When you use QCD, you are not limited to the looks of the base player or skin ù you can easily change the appearance of a skin by switching the skin mode. If you're using the default QCD family skin, there are several choices available to you ù 'Kong' (full display), 'Retro' (display is somewhat smaller), and 'Runt' (most streamlined mode which takes up the least amount of space on your desktop).
To change a skin mode
On the base skin,
click the Next/Previous Mode or Last Mode button. (These
are the arrows #10 and #11 on the the base skin.)
or
Type Alt-S. This is a convenient shortcut. Especially if don't see the mode buttons on the currently loaded skin.
