Short / Medium / Long

Auto Configure should be used with any change of CD-R or CD-RW hardware, and can be found in the Options/Settings/Recorder/Advanced menu.

In order to configure the drive, MUSICMATCH samples data from the audio CD that is in the CD-ROM drive. Short, Medium, and Long represent the length of the sampled data. Some drives can be configured using only a small sample of data.

Note

Generally, the medium setting, which is the default, will pick-up most drives. Occasionally, a drive will not be configured using a medium sample length. In these cases the user will need to manually set the Auto configuration length to Long and retry the configuration.
