Ecology Terrains
This terrain type is used to place vegetation on the landscape surface according
to simple ecological rules. Used to add realistic looking vegetation to a landscape
where precise placement data is not available or unsuitable.

Plants
- Draw plants for this terrain: Check box to switch ecology drawing
on/off for selected terrain.
- Plant Type: Drop down list of available plant type. Select one or
none.
- Size: Average size for the plant type. Some random variation will
added when drawing.
- Density: Average density for the plant type. Some random variation
will be added when drawing.
Ecological Preferences
- Altitude: Prefered altitude and tolerance for the plant.
- Slope: Prefered slope and tolerance. Note that as the tops of hills
are often flat this preference is typically considered together with altitude
control.
- Aspect: Preferred aspect. For example can be used to increase vegetation
cover on south-facing slopes.
