PPWIZARD is a free preprocessor for HTML, REXX, Visual Basic or any text files.

SetEnv()

This is a rexx function provided by PPWIZARD. This routine (like all PPWIZARD extensions) can be used with any operating system supported by PPWIZARD.

This function takes two parameters as follows:

  1. The name of the environment variable.
  2. The new value ("" to delete it).

The return value is the original value of the environment variable or "" if it did not exist.

This command may be useful to pass information to any filters you may have set up (with /FilterInput or /FilterOutput).
