Full Project Description:
For teachers and students to explore the themes of a Culture of Peace, the Australian UNESCO Associated Schools Project (ASP) is coordinating a simple Culture of Peace project through which we invite schools across the world to participate in and contribute to. This project will highlight and support the work of students and teachers in their involvement in this, the year for a "Culture of Peace."

Schools are encouraged to study Culture of Peace themes through their normal school programs or through a selection of the activities suggested under the Project Activities section.

There are four components to the Culture of Peace Project:

The development of a range of peace related activities to provide educational stimulus for teachers and students studying the themes of peace.
The production and distribution in December 2000, of a global anthology of student writing and artwork as a result of this project, on the themes of a Culture of Peace. Every participating and contributing school will receive a copy of this student magazine.
The publishing of student writing, artwork and multimedia productions on the Culture of Peace web site
Collaboration and discussion between students on the themes of a Culture of Peace.
