To register see our web site under Virtual Olympics in On-Line projects.
This project is one for upper primary students. A wonderful lead in to the Sydney
Olympics.
The aim is to focus on physical education, data collection
and Mathematics. Students participate in a series of physical activities over
5 days. Each day they average the results of their class and post them via email
At the end of the activities all scores will be tallied and they will be able to do some
comparisons and graph results.
Photos of students undertaking events are encouraged for the Virtual Olympics
photo gallery.
Objectives:
Enjoyment of outdoor activities.
Learning about other countries.
Teamwork and cooperation
Skills in mathematics averages.
