File extensions
On the upper part of this page you can set the file extensions of files that are considered HTML, Perl, Javascript documents and multimedia files. Note that image file extensions can not be changed, since view support is available for the default file types only.
Files that have extensions listed on this page are shown in the file panel on the left side of the main window of 40tude HTML and can be edited by and viewed with the program.
To add an extension to the list, press an add button ("+") and type it in. To delete an extension from the list, select the extension and press the delete button ("-"). You can't add extensions with the following characters: \ / : * ? " > < |
The bold extension in the HTML extension list box is the default extension. This extension is used when you save a file in the editor and do not specify an extension.
Filters
Filters are collections of file extensions. Use filters to determine which files are shown in the 40tude HTML file list. To select the current filter in the application, select "Filters" from the context menu of the file list in 40tude HTMLs main window.
The available filters are set up on the lower part of the "File types" page in the general settings. To edit the collection of extensions for a filter, select a filter in the list and click on "add /remove extension". Alternatively, you can add extensions by dragging and dropping them from one of the extensions above onto a filter.
Note that the "All supported files" and "All files" filters are set automatically and can't be changed.
